Sustainable Re-Use — Remarkable Craftsmanship:

You'll first notice the striking woven seat and seat-back paired to a structure of European Beech, and only then realize that these supportive bands with their subtle sheen are actually re-purposed automobile seat belts from a post-industrial source. The beech, too, is sourced from sustainable PEFC certified forests, (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, which is a large, non-profit organization that, among its forest conservation efforts, seeks to ensure wood and wood-based products originate from well managed sources). Together, this combination makes for distinctive, durable seating that also stands out for its environmentally responsible credentials.

Wonderfully light but noticeably sturdy, Greenbelt seating is purposed for the home and for commercial use, elevated by a simple concept, reducing its components to the necessities, obviating the need for "the environmentally problematic use of urethane foam for seat suspension."

We presently have these chairs at our location and are enthusiastic about their cleanliness and comfort. To quote Danko once more, "they transcend the uncertainty of present day green design by making its sustainability an obvious feature." In this case, you get the best of both worlds—a low impact chair with lasting appeal and usability.

Danko chairs are made in the United States. Please note that some variation in belt color may occur as supply is aftermarket-sourced.

Please also note that chairs currently made from sustainable European Beech will soon be produced from sustainable, American-sourced White Ash.
